Personal Training is a premium product that should yield premium results, so when you’ve paid Personal Trainers to get you a result, it is frustrating when they don’t deliver. So you can imagine that it’s then even tougher to put your faith in a new trainer, as you will obviously have doubts and reservations based on previous experiences. Why did you start training with me?
I deliberately sought to train with a trainer, as opposed to alone, because I recognised the value of a professional's knowledge and experience in getting the targeted results I wanted. I contacted you specifically after reading an article of yours about glute training and seeing the results you have got with your previous clients.
How is training with me different to what you have experienced in the past?
I told you what I wanted to improve specifically (my bottom), and it was clear that you understood my goals and as such tailored my exercise programme exactly to this. In the past, despite offering the same brief, I have felt like I was being given more of a 'one size fits all' programme. While of course I wanted to improve other areas of my body as well, my flat bottom was the thing that particularly bothered me, and you focussed on that entirely for the first four months of our training.
What do you enjoy most about training with me?
You are really fun to hang out with, but no matter how much of a chatty mood I am in, you always make sure I stay focussed. We always seem to fit a lot into our sessions - I almost never leave the gym feeling like I could or should have done more or worked harder. I love the fact that I can do my bi-weekly sessions with you, and know that I have done enough to maintain the changes I have already made. I never have to worry about whether I'm getting the most out of my training sessions because you do that for me - all I have to do is show up and be prepared to work hard.
Would you recommend me to others? If so why?
Yes, definitely. Your wealth of experience is obvious - I recognised your skill and trusted your judgement from the very first session. As a biologist myself, I can also tell how genuinely knowledgeable you are about the diet and exercise aspects of physiology. You have also never cancelled a session, nor been late or distracted. Most importantly, I achieved exactly the result I wanted, which I had been starting to think was not possible, from just two sessions a week over four months.
I look better now in my 30s than I did when I was 18. After seeing other trainers in the past and being totally disalusioned with the lack of results, you have not only restored my faith in Personal Trainers, but you’ve got me looking and feeling better than I ever have in my life, which is something you just can’t put a price on.
