3 Breakfast Smoothie Recipes

Do you struggle with eating breakfast in the morning? Perhaps you don’t always have time to make it, or maybe you just can’t bring yourself to eat a breakfast high in protein? In this article I give you my 3 favourite breakfast smoothie recipes that are not only packed with protein, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals, but are also extremely quick to make.

You can even blitz them up the night before and store them in the fridge, so that you can up and out the door quickly. All you need is a blender...

Smoothie Recipe 1 – Very Berry

  • 1 handful of blueberries
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 tsp of almond nut butter
  • 1 scoop of whey protein
  • Water to taste

Smoothie Recipe 2 – Peanut Butter and Banana

  • 1 banana
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 tsp of peanut butter
  • 1 scoop of whey protein
  • Water to taste

Smoothie Recipe 3 – Sexy Peach

  • 2 peaches (de-stoned)
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • Half an avocado
  • 1 scoop of whey protein
  • Water to taste


Simply pick which smoothie you’d like, put all the ingredients in the blender and whizz it up.

I use vanilla flavoured whey protein, as it’s quite neutral in taste and means you can really taste the other ingredients, but you could use whichever flavour you prefer.

If you are vegan or have issues eating whey protein, then you could use rice protein or pea protein instead.
